Larry, I have a group of 5 adults coming in tomorrow! Are these guys easy to sex or should I toss all 5 into the BB tank and let them duke it out? Are there any alternatives to the micro worms for the fry? I guess I ned to get on aquabid and start buying some different worm cultures.

Mats, I haven't seen a water report from our water company. They send out a water quality report every year but it deals with contaniment levels. (they are very proud that they are extremely low.) I would assume that my water could easily be high in sodium, since I live a stone's throw from the ...

My water out of the tap is 850 uS, gH 0, kH 8. I add minerals to bring the gH up to 2. I have not yet bred Plecos. My Discus, Rams, and Gouramis will lay eggs in this water but they don't hatch. For breeding I use straight unconconstituted RO. I know the uS should be close to 0 but it comes out ...

Health problem with my common Pl*co

I don't know if I'm Posting this in the right place or not. I'm a Discus person.

I put my big common Pl*co in a bare bottom 55 gallon filled with algea to give him a treat. The algea was eaten but the plec developed some fuzzy stuff on his caudel fin as well as some red around the hard rays in that ...

Mats, Thanks for the info. No, I didnot plan on trying to breed in a community tank. I have a seperate breeding room with tanks ranging from 10 gallons to 40 gallons where I house my various pairs. Right now I have Discus, Angels, Bristlenose Plecs, and Pearl Gouramis. This is where the Cory's woud ...

I keep most of my Discus on the low side of their range, 82 to 84. If the paleatus cannot tolerate this, I guess I need to look at the sterbai. I know the fish. I think they look cool.
My other consideration is ease of breeding. I understand that the paleatus are very easy. I'm not a catfish breeder ...

Want to buy long finned c. paleatus

Hello All,
My name is Liz and this is my first post here. I raise Discus and other fish compatible with Discus. I don't have any Corys yet. I'd like to buy some breeding age long finned c. paleatus. Any one have any for sale?
Liz
