Parancistrus aurantiacus is one of the most famous pleco who have this transformation. Also Hypostomus luteus is capable to...

Re: 12" Plec, has very fine spikes all over his body?

I will say Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps cause they have a higher body and a different pattern than a pardalis.
I can also see that you have a pardalis in the third pic.

Re: Synodontis ornatipinnis?

It is close but to me the bands on the caudal and dorsal are off and I can see decora like color, hard to explain that. These will still be a nice looking syno regardless and if grown out more you will likely see differences to a true ornatapinnis. Birger Well i bought them cause i wanted a bigger ...

Re: Synodontis ornatipinnis?

No i asked him and he didn't know. He couldn't remember when they came in (probably sep/okt)and i think they are from Glaser Germany.
He thought it was bought as decoura.

But like you said it can be hybrids but i hope it is ornatipinnis.

Ltt,

That's a nice picture which I would like to use in the cat-elog (email me if you'd be willing to do this) but all it tells me is its a fish I have not seen before myself but it does look like the Glanidium.

Any chance you could put some of your photos in an e-mail to webmaster (at) planetcatfish (dot) com, along with your name. They can then be put in the Cat-eLog. If you want to put together a longer writeup in Swedish, I can translate: matsp (at) planetcatfish (dot) com is my e-mail address. Och, ja...
