I know that zebras are currently being bred by several hobbyists. I believe that is not economically viable for fish farms to breed these fish. I think several of the smaller fish will hopefully be captivily bred soon. :D

I have missed football so much. When its not in season, there is nothing to watch on the weekends during the day, unless you like basketball (not for me). Any how, I am a huge New Orleans Saints fan. I've had season tickets for the last 8 years. Talk about being a die hard for punishment.

I am not sure what cherry shimps are, but I have an L-134 and it eats all kinds of sinking tablets. I feed it shrimp pellets and botter feeder tablets. It probably also eats any blood worms / brine shrimp that are in the gravel.

I was at a wholesaler last weekend, and he had about 20 zebras going for $60 each wholesale. On another note, I just recently contacted the guy that I sold my 9 zebras too. He has bought a bunch from other people as well. He said that one of the ones I sold him was part of a breeding group :D

L-134 Suggestions

I just got one of these guys...awesome looking fish. Anyone else have one? Any favorite foods. It is currently in quarintine. I am pretty sure it ate a bottom feeder tablet last night, and tonight it will hopefully find some blood worms (in quarintine with new german rams). I will also try a piece o...

I assume that there is some strongish current in the aquarium, so you will need to go with something that has a "sleek" body style. I like neon tetras or rummy nose tetras, plus they will hopefully leave the zebras food alone. You could also try some hatchet fish, but I have never tried mi...

I agree about removing the sand. Also, they might not like the fact that the PVC is white, especially if there is bright light. IME, this is true for zebras, not sure if holds for bristlenoses.

Do you have a large ice chest, this allows for more bottom surface area than a bucket. Also, make sure to empty the aquarium completely, putting the gravel in a bucket, and keep it wet with aquarium water.
Hope this helps.

If it is small (less than 2 inches, and it appears to be) then it is a male. If it large, like 3-4 inches, and only has those few bristles, then it is a female.

I agree. I had a lone albino bristle nose that was 3.5 inches long, but had no bristles. Meanwhile at the LFS, there was a 1.5 inch bristlenose that already had bristles. I ended up buying it, putting them together and got babies.
