I go to Uruguay twice a year when i can.
I have a pair of Ancistrus from there, no spawning as of yet.
my last day there we caught 87!

i believe it to be an undescribed Hemiancitstrus species.

these are the ones i caught, along with Ancistrus.
brought back about 12 of each.

i caught a couple of these plecos also, along with ancistrus at rio cuarem (sp).

Ill be going back in December. let me know if you want to go to catch and bring back catfish, cichlids and tetras. that for many places in the country don't require a heater inside. save alot of energy! lodging,permits, food are about 1500-2000 depending how many go. flights out of LAX are running 9...

its not about being relevant or current. I know that more information can be found on the web. my interest is simply for my library collection of this fish. Its cool to see a picture of your favorite fish in a book or magazine, with a story about it, and seeing how the current infomation has changed...

I'm just wondering if anyone can list a couple of books and magazines that zebra pleco have appeared in, be it a full write up, huge cover pic, or even a small article.
I heard that Practical fishkeeping has a couple, but i don't know which issues.
