Thanks for the article. It seems that the authors believe the paleatus have been transplanted to the Limay River and the Argentine Rio Negro. I find that interesting and easier to believe that they are naturally there.

Thanks for the answers

I forgot to mention that the water is only 4 inches deep.... The mosquito larvae spend lots of time on the bottom where the fish are.

Looks like I will catch the larvae, freeze them, and see what happens in the tank.

do your C. paleatus eat mosquito larvae?

I have C.paleatus abt 2 inches long. They really go crazy after the daphnia I give them. I also put some mosquito larvae in, but it looks like they do not eat them.

What is your experience?

What home grown or wild caught food do you feed adult paleatus?

Thanks

alder cone trade

Hmmmm, I guess you mean during the summer  Yes I would love to have some of those in trade. Is it possible for fish to go across the US-Canadian border without trouble?

alder cones for trade or sale

I hope this is the appropriate posting spot for this....

Re:http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19561

I have a few bags of alder cones picked directly from the tree, not off the ground. Will sell various sized bags or prefer to trade for home raised cool water fish such as Black ...
