from the double moving in October-December 2019 (leaking problems and I had to remove my fish in a shop in my area for 3 months), this Acanthicus never really healed from the stress... it got more and more thin... until these last days where I discovered it was way too thin and without any energy ...

I got 3 little Acanthicus adonis (fry) from a local shop in late January. They are already growing up quite fast in the living room tank.

... my 1st entry. There was an error, I had put a adonis picture under the hystrix chapter. And put exactly the same picture in the adonis chapter. solved ... As a final "proof", their actual size, after only 8 years.

You have a 7-year-old A. Hystrix?

134 cm is 52 inches? That's bigger than I've ever heard of. Not saying it's wrong, just kinda wild.

Regarding the size of A. adonis, I think it was meant to be “134,5cm“ which would make it fit again.

Updates. Still refusing veggies. Feeding Omega 1 algae wafers, NLS algae wafers, and occasionally some Hikari algae wafers I bought before I remembered they are crap. Is still eating wood as well.

Grows FAST. Is definitely territorial but the L191 easily hides from him.

I'm not sure "interest" is a fair word. I think the lack of responses is more due to the fact that there aren't a lot of people who keep them and are authoritative/experienced to be able to say more.

He is also eating sinking pellets, and the driftwood. His poops are smaller/narrower than one would expect.
