Hello! I'm a biologist studying Cory catfish behavior, and I was just wondering if anyone here keeps or has kept Otocinclus mimulus with Corydoras diphyes. I have a few ideas about the possibility of behavioral mimicry and I wanted to see if anyone has observed these two species together.

If you keep C. diphyes already, try to get O. mimulus, which would be the "correct" species to form the mimikry-pair.

Keep in mind that I'm not 100% sure this oil cat ate a Cory. I'm also feeding these babies live Tubifex worms, and I know the oil cats will eat those too. I'll hold out hope that it's a Tubifex worm in its stomach and not a bunch of diphyes fry.

You can add Corydoras diphyes to your list. ;-) These were incubated like my trilineatus eggs, in a small container of water, ~1-2cm deep, no aeration, floating on surface of parents' tank, with daily pour-dip-and-refill water changes from parents' tank. Incubated for 5 ...
