Spawn report: F1 C. eques

My F1 eques spawned either yesterday evening or very early this morning. I leave my tanks unheated during the summer so they have had a 3mo cool period. Saturday I did a 50% water change with cool water and turned the heaters back on. Yesterday, the male were chasing the females and moving into a T ...

I have run dirted/walstadt ish tanks. I cap the dirt with sand separated with a fiberglass window screen. I don’t know that I ever read any of her literature so my tanks have always been filtered and had water changes. My cory tanks now are planted but only use a sand substrate about 2in deep. Plant...

Your platy looks normal. I have three spotted golf balls rolling around my 260g. They’re beggars too. Anytime I’m in the room they are out wanting food.

Yes it’s metal, brass coloured, and I think painted. There was, if I remember correctly, a set but I can’t remember which others were included.

Doing water changes and filter cleanings so I caught all nine Centromochlus musaicus to sex. 5 males and 4 females. Moved three of the males to other tanks as I noticed torn fins. One is missing the anal fin together.

Well, the fungus came back with a vengeance. I was able to source some Fritz maracyn and maracyn 2. I did the 5 day course of maracyn and then started the M2. Unfortunately, it was not enough. The fuzz had started to spread to the edges of the scales along the body.

Looks like a stripped Raphael (p. armatulus) to me. I both armatulus and o. eigenmani. The eigenmani have a much more sloped head than the armatulus. Feed once a day if with other fish that are more aggressive feeders or once every three days if not. These guys have a tendency to turn into golf ball...

I'm not sure about the juvie/adult differences in coloration. I have only had mine for a few months and only see them at feeding time.

I agree that those are not T. Galaxias. I have T. intermedia and gyrina. You could also do akysis prashadi or vespa. Haven't been bred in the aquarium but stay small. I have prashadi. My micro cats are housed in 29g aquariums. I have the intermedia in with swordtails and the gyrina with redhead tapa...
