Two headed L333 fry
I finally got my first decent spawn from my L333 and one is a conjoined twin. I have let nature take it's course and I am a little surprised that he/she is still going strong. There are two heads and one tail and both mouths are feeding. There is no bloat or anything else odd (apart from the obvious...

I still find pics from here on Australian sites, same issue no reply to emails and not sure what the legal stance is from the Australian point of view.
Just checked it again and the feb update still has plenty of pics from here...

Does anyone know if kensfish ship to DPO's?
If anyone has a direct email address that would also be handy as the site is blocked through my works firewall.

Mine is a hang over from my first "proper" motorcycle, Honda VTR1000 "Firestorm" here in Australia. Pretty sure it got superhawk or the like in other markets.

L080 spawn
I know these are a reasonably common species in some places, but I figured it is another species I have spawned and feel a little proud of it. A bit of an early Xmas present for me. I only shifted them into a species tank two days ago and added some tight terracotta D caves 24 hours later, a further...

Re: Next breeding attempt with clown plecos ( I hope).
I have had a hunt around and I can not find any of the tank set up, but here is the result after 9 months from breeding starting to removing as many as possible for a wholesale seller down here. End result was 236 ranging from 3cm to 7cm. Tank was a 6x2x2, the logs were 99% ceramic ones with a 3-5cm...

I feed mine with nls 3mm pellets and the algae wafer is also taken readily in addition to the fresh "meaty" foods and I have seen them giving cucumber and bok choy the once over a few times.

Re: Finding the culprit.
I had black widow, serpae and lemon tetras do this at times. I did find that with a larger school (15+) they tended to chase each other more and leave the cats alone but I still moved them all on.
It was almost the behaviour I had seen in barbs when kept in small schools.

Re: pseudacanthicus keepers... how are you keeping yours?
I have a "pair" of 114's, one is 6+ inches and the other is 4+ inches, I have kept them together in a 6x2x2 since they were 2 inches long with plenty of hidey holes and plenty of line of sight breaks, never had any issues except for fighting over prawns and mussels if I dont provide enough...

Re: Next breeding attempt with clown plecos ( I hope).
I bred mine with a large number of adults all in the same tank, I believe it works well as there is competition for them to breed they are more likely to do so. My tank was LOADED with various types of driftwood and more caves of various sizes than actual fish. It was a tank that I "lovingly ne...

Re: Finding the culprit.
I have found that at time some of the larger tetras can be quite aggressive with nipping the fins of LFBN to the extent that I removed them from my breeding tanks.
That said I have had issues with various loaches and long fins also.

Re: Sturisoma fry food.
I dont believe they are eating the leaves themselves but the build up on the leaves, it is like the biofilm on the glass in an unloved tank.
The first ones are just shy of 3cm and are now in a grow out tank eating flake, algae wafer and nls grow ground together.

Sturisoma fry food.
I know this has been done numerous times on what to feed and how to feed them but I have started trying a different method so I thought I would share it here. I have been a long time user of the spirulina in egg white baked onto rocks and have had decent results with it. My dear wife who is tolerant...

Hey guys. Was just wondering if it is possible to get these guys to Australia? I know that importing the zebra is illegal now and was wondering if it extends to aquarium bred zebras? Also any idea on cost of postage if it were even possible? No go mate. They will be siezed and destroyed at the bord...

Does the spawning-esque behaviour coincide with any spawning of the corydoras? I have noticed that when my corys spawn my L cats follow shortly after.

Leporacanthicus cf_galaxias eating silicone
I recently stepped into the realms of keeping Leporacanthicus cf_galaxias L007 , and thought I was well prepared until I found a report of them eating (or just destroying) the silicone that holds the tank together. If anyone has experienced this, could you please provide me some preventative measure...

Re: Thoughts on filter set up
I am aware of the issues with flow rate, I usually have a UVC plumbed in with my cannister filters that are at a suitable rate of flow, I also have twin oase 55w UVC currently plumbed into the 1300L set up, thats why the one in the filter is just a bonus and a little more exposure to any pathogens /...

I am having issues with my sump wet/dry set ups and have been considering using a pond pump and filter as seen here: http://www.pondsupplies.com.au/pondshop/pond-one-claritec-5000-uvc-pressure-filter.html I was planning to have gravity feeding the water into the large cannister then use my current 1...

Perhaps there is another thread in the making here: "Why are filters so dang expensive in the UK?" It's not just the UK, Shane. MatsP would know that in Kanadia, an Eheim costs and arm and a leg. A 2075 Pro3 for instance is $250 before taxes in the cheapest places I know, and can be as mu...

This being an international forum, I'm personally not very happy with the flags. Did you have anything special in mind with this new feature? Marc, it is an option no one has to decide either way, if you want to fly your flag go for it, if not I guess you just cruise along as before. I don't see wh...
