Re: Pleco Breeding Caves x 3 SOLD

Hi thanks for your interest, I'm based in the UK and don't post abroad as it works out expensive,
It is also just a hobby as I have a full time Job and just make a few as and when I can,
sorry to disappoint.

Re: L239 Colour Variation

Yes thanks, they are not Adults from what I can tell, But don't know their age, I have had them for 6 months and have another 2 of similar size showing the Blue finnage,
Like you say, I will see how they mature as time goes by. :-BD

Re: L239 Colour Variation

I've had them from early April and originally bought 4,(WC) two of which died within a couple of days with sunken belly and eyes not sunken but not great, I know Baryancistrus are hard to acclimatise and took a lot of care with them, They are well settled in now and eating well, maybe in time the Bl...

L239 Colour Variation

I have 4 x L239's (Baryancistrus Beggini) Blue fin panaque, 2 were purchased in early April from a reputable Aquatic shop, and 2 were purchased early May from a private sale, My query is that the first 2 have never shown the usual blue tinge to their finnage, unlike the other 2 and others I've seen....

Re: Please Help

Sorry to hear of your loss, Baryancistrus can be difficult to acclimatize and as a previous poster said probably too late from the signs you described, if you decide to get another one at least you know what to look for, I always keep some stones that I rotate from tank to outside and back to tank i...

Re: Golden nugget

Hard to say, but I would tend to say it should be ok provided it has enough room to shelter from any threat, if the L333's are established in the tank it may be a good idea to move things around a little so that they have to make new territories, mine is ok with L200's L128's and L144's in a 400L ta...

Re: Feeding Schedule

Hi, I tend not to stick to a schedule as such but I don't feed them one night a week, a couple of nights will be fresh veg ie Courgette(zucchini),sweet potato, b/nut squash, yellow pepper, and remove the next morning apart from sweet potato as it tends to keep better, one night some times two will b...

Re: ?Gold Nugget Pleco: Carnivore, Herbivore, or Omnivore?

Had my L018 GNP for about 4.5 years and I would say it's omnivore, It loves Courgette/Zucchini, sweet potato, butternut squash, etc,
I've also seen it scraping on prawn but it is mostly out at night and lights off so I've never really studied it.

Re: Old Newbie

[Mod edit: Add clog-links around expanded name of sp(4). --Mats] Yes thats right Richard, I tend to say L144 as it's a bit confusing expl...
