Re: Chrysichthys spp, woodcats, and unknown. Can you help id these.
Chrysichthys are extremely hard to ID correctly (except for C ornatus), but the mentioned species could very well be spot on.
Congrats on your new species Bene

Re: West Africa (162x124x080)
About my Chrysichthys ornatus
I have him/her for about a year now and I think it has grown maybe 4 cm max.
including its tail I think he/she's 10-12 cm now.
It ddoesn't seem to care much about its Tankmates.
But I do keep an eye on the little one

Oh well, in all honesty, if(!) I'd switch, my Chrysichthys cf nigrodigitatus wouldn't leave.
I'm so in love with that pair
So, I guess I could play the 'hypocrite card' now

Re: Who is this tankbuster? Platydoras?
With tetras I'm referring to a hypothetical biotope switch Viktor ;) I would think about Bleedinghart tetra, or Nematobrycon or Hemigrammus bleheri, stuff like that. Perhaps my reply was a bit 'oversized' on the tank in that video. I'm just very focused on trying to keep fish as natural as possible ...

To make things a little 'crazier',
would this large P armatulus combine with a large group of Corydoras and medium sized tetras?

If I would make this switch, I would stick with the smaller species, but in large numbers.
Hopefully I will get to see more natural behaviour that way:

It's the misses Birger, she made me second guess
"I really don't like this tank"
"I would love to see more colours in your tank"
Etc. Etc.
I will however keep my small tank West Africa-themed

My wife has got my doubting about my tank... (163x124x080 cm3, netto 1500 liters). I'm currently eveluating a possible switch to SA Is this tank suitable for Cory's, considering the height of the tank (80cm glass height)? And what Cory's would be suitable for this tank? I think the Platydoras I have my eyes on is bigger than the one in the video you mentioned ;)
Looking at the individual species, I can only say beautiful
But at the whole package, I can only cry..
What a horrible mix of species in an overcrowded tank with hardly any decoration in it

Re: Who is this tankbuster? Platydoras?
I'm currently in the process of adding this calm beauty to my tank (even though it's a West Africa themed tank).
Unfortunately the fish has to leave it's current tank and I do believe she(?) can have a great old day in my 163x124x080 tank (Netto 1500L)
