Re: Platydoras armatulus disease
Quick update: This was posted on the aquariums subreddit as well, where some people suggested it could be columnaris. A reputable catfish keeper advised it looks more like an infected wound, and after spending about 5 hours in a 10 gallon with 1tbsp/5gal of salt, the white build up has nearly comple...

Platydoras armatulus disease
Hello, IMAGE I left my home on Saturday at about 9:00pm, and came back today, Monday, at about 10:00am. When I left, all of my fish were accounted for with no visible symptoms. Arriving back today, my red wolf fish was dead (and seemingly had been for awhile, eyes were bloated and fungus was growing...

Mystus leucophasis advice
Hello, I picked up a Mystus leucophasis a couple months ago from my LFS. He was a drop off from another customer, and in pretty rough shape at the time. I have brought him back to good health, and he is currently spending his time hiding away in my 36 gallon. He's currently about 6-7". Obviousl...

Megalodoras uranoscopus growth rate
Hello, I may have the opportunity to pick up some juvenile ~5" Megalodoras uranoscopus , and I currently have a 125g tank set up that they would go into. I do have some 6x6 stock tubs as well, and they'll eventually go into a South American biotope tank, likely with some Striped Raphaels, Loric...

Cat-eLog Search Issue
Hello,
I have noticed that when trying to search the Cat-eLog by size, I must multiply all numbers by 666.666... to achieve the correct result.
As an example, to find fish with a maximum size of 1.5 inch and a minimum of 0 inches, I must enter 1000 into the max field.
Thank you

Re: Are bumblebee catfish diggers?
In fact, I think American bumblebees are the best catfish for a catfish hater - normally one never sees them, they are strickly nocturnal. I think this may depend on the tank you keep them in. I have 3, and all of them will actively come out the moment any food is in the tank. They live in a 15 gal...

Jaguar Catfish & Pictus Catfish Compatibility
I've got a 65 gallon tank with two oddball catfish currently - a blind Platydoras armatulus and a Liosomadoras oncinus . My Raphael cat is out all the time, as he doesn't seem to have any concept of lights on/lights off, and sleeps/swims about whenever he feels like it. While it's unfortunate he is ...

Re: Doradid - Not sure what
The fish are already larger than the size listed for those fish, and they do not seem to have the striping. The seller is asking $120USD a piece for them - worth it? I'm thinking of getting them just to see what they end up being.

Re: Doradid - Not sure what
Alright, so I see that fish grows to 8.3". I've got a 65 gallon with a striped raphael, and I'm looking to add a few more of them to it.
Do you think 3 striped Raphael and 2 of those guys would go well? I have to order at least 2, and they are $120 a piece.

Re: Doradid - Not sure what
According to the sellers page, the fish is roughly 7" long. I am likely going to buy it - quite expensive but very interesting.

Doradid - Not sure what
A seller has this fish listed as "Platydoras spec." however I am 95% sure this is not a Platydoras. I've browsed Doradids, and found species with similar fins but haven't been able to match up the body with the barbels. Any help? https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/16402612_1887...
