Re: Hoplosternum Punctatum Spawn!

Ive got a second spawn today.

Again, on a floating anubias leaf, and a cold front moved through last night. Seems to be the consistent factor.

Very gravid females, and the males chase the females daily, but nothing yet! But the males are fairly persistent, should only be a matter of time as well.

Big belly on these ladies

Re: Corydoras Eques setup

Lovely tank, the fish are looking very happy. Are they emperor tetras you have in there with them? I was growing out some black emperor tetra fry in their tank, but they've been homed this week, so now it's ember tetras and boraras urophthalmoides as tankmates with them. I keep black emperors in on...

Spikes on male cory pectoral spine?

Was snapping some photos of my male black Venezuela corydoras and one photo focused on his pectoral fin spine.

I noticed bristles.

Never noticed this on cories.

Re: Corydoras Eques setup

I like keeping some leaf litter in most my tanks, tannins are good for softwater fish especially :D and ive found that certain fish like Farlowella twigs naturally will graze on the leaf litter and it's an easy source of biofilm for them. So there's so many perks to leaf litter
