zungaro zungaro synonym error maybe?

I was looking at the synonyms for zungaro zungaro and was wondering if the name Brachyplatystoma flavicans should not be there. I thought Brachyplatystoma flavicans was the previous name for Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii or am I confused/wrong.

I had one of the most enjoyable time at the convention. Met a lot of great people here and on the other side of the pond. It was great fun.

Everyone arrived home safely, even the one stuffed in the luggage.

Can't wait for the next one. $342 what the heck!!!!

Hi Larry, I'm sorry to here that you have a parasite problem. Chilodonella is easily treated with formalin or Potassium Permangenate but of course like you said the stronger will survive. So the problem maybe a combination of the parasite and the pH swing or it could just be the parasite causing all...

Hi Larry, I would like to know what is your pH in your tank normally and what is the pH in your tap? I ask because if your tank is normally in slightly acidic side and you perform a large water change your resulting mix may swing the pH real high if your tap has a high pH. Like you said this will ca...

Thanks for the response cattleya.

Anyone else have any ideas. I have other L333 similar in size but this one looks different from the others. Are their others who can confirm that this is a L333. I would like to breed him with my other L333 females.

Thanks for the additional information Janne. One thing I do in all my fry tank is to add the small round snails. I'm guessing this helps by cleaning the surface of the glass continually. Do you think that adding baby bushy noses would help this or will this be counter productive since they will comp...

Hi Janne thank you for your response. I would like to know what your thought is regarding having the gravel versus a bare bottom. I ask because I would have thought that there would be more surface area with gravel to have the same bacteria growing on it versus the bare bottom and also more area for...

Environment for Raising Pleco fry, tankscaping

I would like to know what your opinions are for raising hypancistrus fry in a given environment once removed from parents. That is, in a bare bottom tank with no decorations; tank with caves, rocks, wood, etc for hiding; tank with gravel and hiding places: etc. I want to know what is the best way to...

I don't know if your L200 got enough to eat. What is your routine for feeding the L200. Did they look thin? Ju...

How tell male or female for L235

I saw a group of L235 at my LFS but could not tell the difference. They were all about 4 to 5 inches and all had fairly long odontode growth on the pectorial. The gill area had some odontode growth but none had really long growth there. What is a good temperature for these guys? the Cat-elog does sa...

Body shape wise it is very similiar to the L134's of equal size. It is currently in the same tank as my 134's that came with him/her. But like Yann said it is a little dark in color. The yellow is not as bright as the 134's.

I don't know if anyone will ever get to the bottom of this. Perhaps your right and they are all the same species. Have you notice that even among all your baby zebras there are variations in the pattern and thickness of the black bars. This makes me think that the same variations can occur in the L6...

Hi Barbie, As I look at your pictures more, those look more like L287 and possibly some L333, IMO, but how can we be sure. My L333s/L66s look identical to several of your pictures from the second group with the well defined white/yellow bands other than pattern. The ones with the duller white appear...

Hey Dave after looking in the aqualog and Datz, do you think it maybe a L92 or L151/L216 (with the spots faded)? I'm looking primary at the shape of the head and the separation of the eye. What do you think it is?
