Re: L-14 losing and regrowing it's teeth

When i saw my 50+cm Acanthicus toothless for the first time i was shocked!I thought that something was wrong with the water chemistry of the tank (even thought my Geophagus Winemilleri where spawning at the same time in that tank). I have witness him/her loosing two more time almost the 100% of the ...

Re: Acanthicus adonis tankmates

No problem at all. Adult A. adonis are quite peaceful and won´t see the other plecos as rivals. Can you justify this? I am asking because i have completely different opinion when it comes to adult Acanthicus against other medium or larger plecs in the same tank.... They are over aggressive and extr...

A couple of months back i bought a group of five unidentified Aspidoras (probably Aspidoras spilotus ) And yesterday i found this clutch of eggs. I 've place them in a fry box and it seems that they are developing correctly. Here some pics inside the breeding box: http://www.catfish.gr/pics/Aspidora...

IBAMA at L-numbers event

Hello to all. Just on Hannover's airport. One thing that i want to add is that (correct me if wrong) that some genuses will be permited entirely e.g. Ancistrus... Let's wait and see the list.As of P.Leopardus it is in the possitive list already so nothing to discuss about. Henrique told that this wi...

Hi there. Pics do not help but i have two comments. These fish supposed not to be cave spawners/how this can be replicated in a tank? The orange collour is starting to show up. I removed 29 of them today from the original aquarium into a smaller frybox that is ventilated with water from the main tank. I found out that the first 15 babies i took out was growing twice as much as the rest. And it has been no loss in the box. Got a p...

Kouen, Keep a close watch on the quality of the water. Four fish of that size produce a lot of waste! CoryWally and husky_jim I am hoping to add solid data to the L114 / L600 discussion soon. I currently have over 100 3month old pure 'L600' fry and over 200 1month old fry where the male is an L600 ...
