My sincerest apologies.

I misunderstood completely then. Allow me to explain. I have met MANY people from overseas who believe all Afrikaners to be racists and who wish for the days of segregation (apartheid), who were surprised that they found Afrikaans to be spoken by so many, and who thought that Afrikaners are backward...

Collection Permits.

Hey there. I also live in Pretoria and the fishkeeping community over here is very excited to have Shane around... On collection I have started a thread Here regarding collecting fish from the wild. As far as I know a permit is needed to collect, but at SAFF we have a few members who have dealt with...

Thanks shane.

I bought them in two different batches.

One week I bought the Unidentified one, and about a month later I bought the Bicolor Banjo's.

Both times it was the only ones in the pet store...

Came from the same importer, but I'll try and find out where they got it from...

Thanks.

It is great to be a part of the banjo club.

They are part of a cat only (excepting a freshwater tonguefish) that I have for my personal amusement and joy.

My heart nearly stopped when I first saw a few for sale in a shop about 18months ago.

A dream come true...

Well I looked at the link provided and I think we have a winner based on several similarities: Dorsal fins look almost identical. Barbles look almost identical. Head ("face" if you want) looks very similar. Coloration is identical. I do have a few resercations: Althoug mine are very close ...

Sorry, I actually just c&p'd from SA Fishforum where I am taking part on a more regular basis than here. Over here in South Africa 4 banjos are something to brag about since we've only been seeing them regularly for the last two years or so. I've been keeping Catfish for almost 15years now and w...

Help with Identificatio PLZ!

Yep. Time to brag. I have four banjo cats. Of two different species. Two of them are Bicolor banjo's, but the other two I am having some trouble to identify. Here are some pic's. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i178/AndGodSed/4Banjos.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i178/AndGodSed/4Banjosc.jp...

Looked at the forum thanx...

Mine is quite active though, and the funny thing is he often cruises around with the flounder, as if they have buddied up, quite fun to watch.

He eats some of the nutron staples for plant eaters, I had him in another tank where I only fed him that and he remained hollow bellied, no that he eats the BW he is really fattening up!

To the point that he can no longer lie flat on the bottom, his haid alwais sticks up...

Phew!

Was just worried for a moment there, thought maybe he had some parasites he wanted to get rid of...

What about him eating the bloodworm?

I also feed him sinking pellets for plant eating cats (I feed him Nutron Staples Green) but he hardly touches that nowadays...

Whiptail Cat Behaviour.

Right, so I moved my whip to a new home it now shares with Earl ( a Polypterus Senegalis) and Flounder (some kind of flounder) Now two things happened. 1: He now dines almost exclusively on bloodworm, and is getting fat like you wont believe! Is that normal? 2: Flounders burrow, so I have a *very* f...
