What spotted Hypan have I got spawning?
I bought 5 fish as wild L-201. The seller selected the ones with the argest spots. I am better at fishkeeping than picture taking. If these pics are insufficient, I may have a few others my brother shot but has not given me yet.
The fish are in the range of 3-3.5 inch TL and there have been 3 or 4 spawns- all over the past few months.

Thanks- I wasn't sure and my ID skills are sorely lacking.

Just curious as to if there has been an L number assigned to this fish?

Re: What spotted Hypan have I got spawning?
I believe they were L201 before being described. However there are alledgedly 2 or 3 different types of L201, maybe someone who knows more than I do could expound on this topic?

Re: What spotted Hypan have I got spawning?
Well, H. contradens is one species that is described, and looks very much like the L201 - it has, however, different dentition (teeth). So we are still waiting for the "official" L201 to be described.

Scratch another notch on your gun. Congrats. I have 7 juvenile F1 growing up for the future. Apparently these L201 are one of the easier Hypancistrus spp to breed.
