Please ID This Aquabid Pleco

Please ID This Aquabid Pleco

Being sold as , the images didn't strike me as a pseuda, more hypan ish IMO. What do you guys think the ID is based on these pictures? I do have the permission of the owner of the picture to post them for a positive ID as he isn't 100% sure either, but stated the importer got them in as L160's.

It looks like a Hypostomus of some kind. ?

i see where the hypo could be there, in the second picture it resembled a Hypan to me, but the hypo seems like a better starting point for research.

Definately would like to hear what other's think.

Definitely not a Hypancistrus IMO. I too think Hypostomus or possibly Pterygoplichthys depending on dorsal fin ray count.

I can't really see if the tail is deeply forked but what about Squaliforma villarsi?

I bought one at the first catfish convention in the U.S. and is still currently residing in my parent's aquarium. I haven't seen another in a long time.

But being able to see the shape of the tail would help a lot.
