Hello,
On a recent trip to peru our group caught this small catfish in a seine net along the main channel or the Amazon off of a sandy island. I think it is in the Auchenipteridae family due to the fin structure and body shape. But I can't get past just how large that eye is! If anyone can point me in the right direction as to what this is, it would be a huge help!
We were in northeast Peru, down river from Iquitos about an hour or two.
