Hello,
I got these two ‘small’ plecos last Saturday and I’m really confused as to what type they are. I was told that they’ll grow to about 4”-6” and the label on the tank just said ‘pleco catfish’. I should have asked the store for more info but they seemed like they were rushing around.
Pic 1 is of the shy pleco 1 (around 2” in length), pics 2&3 are of pleco 2 (about 1.5”)
Can anyone help to id them please? Also pleco 2 changes between a tan and white ‘background colour’.
Much appreciated

Re: Plecos With Big Black Spots
These are - I'd take them back to the store if you want a fish that stays smaller than a foot or more. If you were told these grow to 4-6" then you've been missold. Sorry, but hope that helps,

Re: Plecos With Big Black Spots
Thanks Jools,
I suspected that they might have been big ones, I think the guy that sold them to me was new, I did specify small though as my tank is only 125 litres! I’ll have to take them back as it’s a bit mean on them and I don’t want to get attached to something that I can’t keep
