Tiny 27 Dollar Pleco ID
Hi guys. I bought this Pleco today for 27 dollars. They had him listed as a Ranger Pleco, but he’s over a year old and he’s under an inch/under 2.5cm which makes me doubt that. Any guesses?

It’s a ranger pleco and no way it’s a year old.
Hope that helps

Hi
Pterygoplichthys punctatus indeed, I'd estimate it is around 4-5 weeks old and only recently imported from Peru.

Awesome, thank you both. So just to confirm because I’ve seen conflicting species data on this guy—his adult size will be anywhere from 4-11inches?

They grow up to 25 cm TL roughly, never collected or seen a bigger one. In captivity it will probably not get bigger than 20 cm TL.
