Hello,
A little while ago we purchased what was sold as a “Candy striped plec”.
He (or she?) is only circa 6cm/2.5 inch in size.
Looking more into Candy striped plecs online, we only found pictures of slightly lighter species with stripes all over.
Mathew (that’s his or her name) seems considerably darker and his fins seem more dotted rather than striped.
We would like to get Mathew a companion and want to make sure to get a match!
Thanks,
Ulrike

Hi,
Eric is right, you've got a nice specimen of L 206, plus I think it is a male.
Colour variations can occur due to the colours of the surrounding, like in your case a dark substrate makes the fish go darker too.
