A morning of fish food prep. Nom nom nom. :-)

Post by bekateen »

Spent an hour today prepping all my home sourced fish foods - new microworm cultures, peeled & sliced raw sweet potatoes, boiled chopped "whiteleg shrimp", and a Repashy blend (50-50 mix of Soilent Green and Grub Pie, with freeze-dried Tubifex worms stirred in). Actually, I made twice this amount, half for home tanks and half for tanks at school.

Delicious! (or so the fish tell me) :-p

The shrimp and Repashy go in the freezer - I can just pull out the bag and break off a small piece to feed the fish. The sweet potatoes go in the fridge, where they'll last for a little over one week; I can just pull out a handful of "chips" and throw them in a tank as needed... they sink straight to the bottom and require no weights.

Cheers, Eric
