Basically keep them clean (Good well filtered water)and a good variety of food.

A little research on temperature and water type also helps.

Don't think I've had any fish live past 15 years. The oldest I have is about 10-13 years old a little loach I've had since I was a kid. Somehow survived and continues to do so with all sorts of tank mates.

The longest current cory is 2 1/2 years. The common bronze / albino (Corydoras aeneus ) have 2 of each left from 2 groups of 3.

i have been keeping adolfoi for the last 9 years. started out with 4, they bred multiple times and i have one of the original 4 still in my tank together with some of her offspring. I keep them at around 24-26 degrees Celsius and they always start to spawn beginning of spring and will continue to do so till about august/september
Greetings, Tim

I have a female C napoensis that I have had for over 12 years now. It was a 'rescued' fish from a tank someone was throwing out, although her maxillary barbels were nothing more than stumps and she had ventral fins that had not grow back very well from an infection or such, I didnt think it was right to either pass her onto some else or euthanise her.
Although she has always resided in one dump tank or another I think I would miss her if she ever went to the great aquarium in the sky.
