Unidentified Striped pleco
I was at my LFS today that usually has a large selection of L number plecos so are pretty knowledgeable well they had a unidentified striped pleco they didn't know what type and neither did their importer so I got him pretty cheap and put him in a tank that gets all types of food until I can figure out what he is
it is hard to see in the picture but he does have a lyre tail

Re: Unidentified Striped pleco
Looks like a to me, but I don't immediately recognize the species. Maybe or . But either way, that would be a rare find, so I'm probably wrong. Will check further when I get back to a computer.
Nice find!
Cheers, Eric

Re: Unidentified Striped pleco
I sent the pictures to a breeder friend who breeds several different types of striped plecos including other Panaqolus like the L397 and he also is thinking Panaqolus sp(l425) which considering what I paid for him I got a deal of a life time
