Petricola egg pics....have they fungused?

Post by dclaassen »

Well I have been trying to capture the eggs of my Petricolas while they spawn. They have been transferred to a ten gallon with upside down flower pots on top of jars with marbles. I found eggs in one of the jars tonight and proceeded to take the marbles out. I am not sure when she spawned so hopefully the eggs did not fungus already. Can anyone tell by looking at these if they are fungused (if that's a word)? I moved them into a breeding net which I cut down in size and placed inside another breeding net to keep the adults from sucking the eggs through. I also put an airstone in the breeding net to keep the water circulating. Let me know what you think.....

By the way when people say that these eggs are small they are not kidding!

They don't look fungused to me. If they were, they would have turned opaque and white after some time.

Generally the eggs will go noticeably white when they fungus over
