Tank Size

Post by Princess »

Firstly, hey, i'm new here :)

Secondly. I am looking to set up a new tank for my catfishes - I have two baby bristlenoses, a baby plec, a baby albino plec, a red tailed black shark, and 3 clown loaches. All are babies, but I was wondering what size tank I'd need for an adult. I'm looking to add a synodontis catfish, and a crossbanded loach into the tank once I upgrade. It's currently an 18 inch, which is big enough for the baby fish, but they're gonna grow! :D What would you suggest?

The standard I go by is 4L x 2L x 2L, where L is the size of the fish. If by "plec" you mean a common pleco, , they grow to a good foot or more, so 4 x 2 x 2 foot tank, which makes it 125 US gallons (although a standard 125g tank may not be those dimensions - I'm not sure).
