Algae eater?

Post by srdavis65 »

I need reccomendations for an algae eater. I have 5 S. polli, 2 s. angelicus, 2 s. schoutedeni, and 1 s. flavientitus together in a tank. They are all 1.5-2". I want to put in some kind of catfish that will eat algae off the glass, any ideas?

Thanks

Ancistrus (bristlenose) is certainly your best bet.

Yup, common ancistrus go well in both riverine and rift lake setups, and they are clever and hardy enough to go with almost any fish that isn't too large. is available in most fish-shops.
