which one of the parauchenoglanis species is most commonly imported Parauchenoglanis balayi or Parauchenoglanis guttatus ??

Neither. <i>Anaspidoglanis macrostoma</i> is the species almost exclusively imported.

well on the stocklist i have it says parauchenoglanis, do you still think its niether of the fish i mentioned and infact the one you mentioned?

Yes, <i>Anaspidoglanis macrostoma</i> was <i>Parauchenoglanis macrostoma</i> not too long ago. Despite the name change, many dealers and importers are still using the old name, whose identity was easily confused with <i>P. guttatus</i>. "<i>Parauchenoglanis</i>" <i>ballayi</i> is actually an <i>Auchenoglanis</i> species.

AFAIK, <i>P. guttatus</i> is almost never imported for the aquarium trade.
