Are these S. Petricola's or S.lucipinnis?

Hi all,



These 2 came with the aquarium i purchased and the owner said they were S. Petricola's, but after reading about them on this site i am thinking that they may be S.lucipinnis instead...

Also this little guy came with the aquarium and the previous owner said it was a bushynose pl*co but I have others say it may be a rubbernose pl*co??



Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure on the syno but the second pic looks like my bristlenoses.

The synos look like multipunctatus

Now to get you even more confused your syno is either

Synodontis grandiops

or

Synodontis multipunctata

if you look at the white on the dorsal fin you will notice it is at the rear ....if you look at

Synodontis petricola

or

Synodontis lucipinnis

you will see the white is on the leading edge of the dorsal fin.

My bet would be on it being S.grandiops but many people still call both grandiops and mutipunctata.....mutipunctatus.

There were some changes made recently that we are still getting used to.

Thank you all for the help in identifying my catfish, I think they are just fun to watch especially the 2 syno's zipping around side by side. The bristlenose does not have any protruding bristles and is about 2 inches in length so I am assuming it may be a female??...

I also have a spotted raphael catfish and thought something was wrong with it tonight as I don't see it too often when all of a sudden it came out and had a huge stomach. I thought it may be bloat but after searching on the web it talked about it being a big eater and I had put algae wafers in early this morning and figured it ate as much as it could...
