Hi
Can anybody advise if it is safe to use aquarium salt as I am receiving conflicting reports.
I have a 300 litre mature partially planted tank with the following fish: Clown loaches, black ghost knife fish, golden nugget plec, blue phantom plec and royal plec. All the water parameters are OK but the clown loaches have white spot but no signs on my other fish. The tank has been running for 3 years and this is my first outbreak. I have raised the temperature up to 30 degrees but not sure whether to add salt.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I personally would rather use commercial medications, but if you prefer to use aquarium salt, then do so - as long as you do it for medicinal purposes, I'd say you are OK with it.
