Any livebearer fanatics out there?
I'm up for any small species, although in particular, I am looking for:
X birchmanni
A splendens (and almost any other goodeid species)
Girardinus
L nigrofasciata
thanks
I live in Berkeley, Ca. Shipping would be fine.

Here, in Europe, they are all fairly common, apart from the X birchmanni. However, these might be obtainable through http://www.xiphophorus.org
good luck

Funny, I was talking to a friend from the UK, and he stated that everyone and their mother had L. nigrofasciata over there.
The thing is, in the U.S. the wild livebearer trade is more or less limited to circulation around the ALA, and, because I don't have the funds to fly a million miles over to the next convention, I'm limited to a few friends around here. Like, I have no issues obtaining fairly sought after inbred strains of x. helleri and crosses, and they are the ones usually on the stocklists (the wild livebearer imports are very meager).
thanks for the help, though.

Wow, you can find Ameca speldens at my local pet store.
If you are still looking, let me know; I'm a member of the AZ Rivulin Keepers, and a lot of the other guys have livebearers too.

But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I will be unique in all the world..... You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
