i ahve got various l number plecs and cat fish up for sale on ebay check em out ,
most of them are rare breeds can get more on request .through contact in venuezuela and amzon
the ebay item number is 320361088590 ive gt about 12 for sale still adding the rest on i cant find these up for sale anywere else so im sure some of you guys are looking for em

No, that's incorrect, only some species are involved and it is not an "import stop", it is an export ban of any species not on a so-called positive list of allowed species. You will notice that in all of the fish being discussed here and offered for sale on eBay ( http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/tropicalaqualimited ) that none are Brazilian except a couple of Rio Negro species that are on the positive list AFAIK and are certainly commonly available.

the ones listed on my ebay are from venezuela,brazil and teh amazon im importing them my self .
the reason i decided to iport is because i looked around the uk market and coudnt really get a variety of them ,the ones listed are only a fraction of what i have in stock i just get bored of listing them on ive got around 12 -24 pcs of each species .
i have also got in limited numbers

HYPANCISTRUS SP. (XINGU) at 5 - 6 cms fine specimen
ACANTHICUS ADONIS ALBINO at 5 -6 cms again its in top condition and feeding well
TYLOMELANIA SP. SPONGE 3- 5 cms there from sulawesi and in limited numbers they have stopped cultabviting this species

I believe those are NOT on the list of allowed exports from Brazil, so that would involve smuggling them out of Brazil (which I'm sure can and is being done, but whether you want to encourage that sort of thing is another matter - I certainly wouldn't).

I do find the wording "seldom found in uk retail" not quite appropriate for Hemiancistrus L128 - I have to drive about 20 minutes to find some, and another shop within similar distance in a different direction also have them, and I can probably find a third and a fourth shop within reasonable distance should I need to. I would agree that for example Baryancistrus demantoides is quite rare (the Hemiancistrus subviridis variety of the same colour is much more common - again, I could get that from 3-4 shops around here - the only shop that doesn't have them is the local Pets at Home)

I live in Bathgate, I can get L128 from a store in a 30 minute drive - I agree with Mats - these fish are readily available at present although that have been less so in the past.

I wouldn't worry too much about it given some of the rather unpleasant folks on eBay, someone who takes the time to get facts right is a very good first step. I recently reported someone selling (and therefore making profit) by using a picture from my site of my fish that was taken by me. When asked to remove it or pay for its use, I was told that they had permission to use it and I was a saddo and should get a life! The listed has now been removed.

So good luck with your selling and well done for not ripping off other folks fish pics - I think it will do you good in the long run.

L306 unavailable at the minute next import is 15th may ive gt loads more on ebay and abot 3 times as much on the stocklist email me and ill email you a stock list
