New forum: Events/meetings?
Would it make sense to have a forum where we can post events that go on in the local area that may be of interest to other Planet Catfish members? Right now, these things are (occasionally) posted in Speak Easy, and whilst there is nothing directly wrong with that, it tends to disappear from view quite quickly if it's not continously bumped. In a separate forum, it would be easier to spot these things.
And it may encourage people who know about something going on in their patch to publish the information.
Like the sales/wanted sections, it should have a rule of "location in subject".
The title of the forum is of just a suggestion - feel free to change the wording and/or specification of what's going in there.

Re: New forum: Events/meetings?
we have such a "regional meetings section" on the AquAgora Forum. And I can tell you it's very well used. I think it's worth it, even for a international forum like PC.
the Potamotrygon adventure has begun...

Re: New forum: Events/meetings?
I think that would be good to have a seperate section for events, i mean if there was anything going on in my area, or surrounding area i would like to know about it, (pending i can get time off work)
Good idea

Re: New forum: Events/meetings?
But how would we structure it? It would have to be like the for sale/wants forum. I think there is a problem here with dilution and I would like to continue using the speak easy for these things.

I'm okay with keeping it in the Speak Easy.

Re: New forum: Events/meetings?
I agree with keeping it in speak easy, I think too many forum choices gets unnecessarily complicated.
