Saturday and Sunday, June 19 and 20, 10 am – 5 pm

Bring your dad on a fishing trip that explores the natural history of one of the most successful fishes on the planet: the weird, wonderful, and highly adaptable catfish!

Saturday, June 19

* Academy ichthyologist Dr. John Lundberg will present an illustrated talk on catfish diversity and adaptatons. (1 pm in the Auditorium)
* See museum catfish specimens. (ongoing, at Science Live Station in front of the Auditorium)
* Make your own catfish hat to take home (ongoing, on the Second Floor next to the Panda diorama)
* Live animal shows at 11 am and 2:30 pm (in the Auditorium)

Sunday, June 20

* Academy ichthyologist Dr. Mark Sabaj Pérez will present an illustrated talk on catfish diversity and adaptatons. (1 pm in the Auditorium)
* See museum catfish specimens and learn about the advanced imaging technology used to study their anatomy. (ongoing, at Science Live Station in front of the Auditorium)
* Make your own catfish hat to take home (ongoing, on the Second Floor next to the Panda diorama)
* Live animal shows at 11 am and 2:30 pm (in the Auditorium)

Oh, why don't I live closer... I don't mean like at Land's end that is a couple of hundred miles closer, but a few thousand would be better...
