Synodontis LFS Find..

Found this syno today at my lfs and couldn't resist as I don't recall seeing one like it before. Upon close inspection it seems to be a female, it's 14cm (5.5 inches) TL and from looking through the cat-e-log the closest comparison seems to me to be s. rebeli. My hobby is mainly S.A. and Asian catfish and my past experience with synodontis is limited so I'll defer to your expertise on this one... Thanks!

I am also not very familiar with mochokids, but this looks more like to me. There is also the possibility it is a hybrid.

Hey Thanks! After reading the extensive Hybrid Syno Thread I'm glad I'm not a serious syno collector. The fish wasn't sold to me under any pretense, just a handsome syno specimen to my mind for $30. I could likely go crazy trying to figure out it's combined lineage, just guessing it looks like an ocellifer/eupterus cross. I'm no fan of hybridization and won't chime in on the aformentioned thread but even if it is a mutt, it's a nice addition to my catfish collection anyway..
