That is a seriously cool fish! How big is it?

Just over 7 inches TL. Its always the grey and the brown ones that seem to find their way into my tanks.

What are the watertemperatures in the mentioned river?

Dono exact parameters but should be between the 18-22 C mark I think. HH would be in a better position to answer this question as he might ve collected there.

He is right now in a tank filled with rocks and driftwood with water at bout 25-26 C. Have to shift a lotta wood out as he seems to prefer to swim around rather than hang onto rocks.

He has some Batasio travancoria and a few Amblyceps for company.

Interesting. There appears to be no Glyptophorax species longer than 4.7", mostly 3-4" max. I only looked up maybe 6-7 of them, the ones that have the most photos. So yours is huge, relatively!

If he is an active swimmer, you should be able to get nice clear shots.

Hey Victor,

There quite a few species that get bigger than 5 inches. In fact, I had a friend describe a South Indian (meaning I can hopefully get to it soon) Glyptothorax Sp. that was close to 10 inches in size last night and yes, I was drooling through most of the conversation.

Il try and see if I can get a video of him during feeding time. Quite exciting to watch. Swims around like he s on fire.
