- Interests: Mainly African Catfish, but I have a soft spot for Woodcats as well
Lophiobagrus brevispinis
A good friend of mine has above mentioned species in a Tanganyika tank.
Recently he noticed some sort of ball on one of his ish.
Doe anybody have an idea of what this could be?

my only guess is a tumor as the pictures aren't really clear nor light enought o see.

Not really,
last friday the ball opened up and some eggs fell out.
The loose membrane is still under her belly and she's full of eggs that she's still carying.
She seems to function normally
