Yeah, that's sad.
But at least no-one did stick a needle with fluorescent paint in him.
uh oh
I probably gave some idiot a good idea; next thing we see will be "glow-in-the-dark, longfin, purple & green injected, yellowdyed suckermouths".....
Good thing the LFS wasn't located at Chernobyl or that thing would have been 3 meters and man-eating perhaps!

Plan B should not automatically be twice as much explosives as Plan A

I wonder how normal of a life that poor thing can lead. Definitely a result of inbreeding or crossbreeding, poor fella.

im a member of a group in Norway that is working against this types of fish, exept those who`s been there for hundreds of years, there was i time when we noticed this problem and started to look around and count the tanks in the stores with missformed fishes compared to tanks with "normal" fish and came to an count of two thirds of the thanks was filled with alot of different "manmade" fish, what im saying is that there was more "manmade" than original fishes in the stores. we started to work with the norwegian aquarium federation and we also did get some people inside the federation in good possisions. the problem was that alot of the people around in different clubs didnt want to work against this types of fish for some reason, we also had some meetings with the pet shop federation that maybe they could do something, but that was as expected a shot in the dark, they said that they didnt like the fish but they couldnt tell their members to not sell them because the stores that was not a member would still sell them and then their members would loose money.so then it was time to work with the gouverment and actually see what the laws in Norway say against crossbreed, colur injection and manupilation of the genes, we will hopefully have this during next year.
this is an article from an danish news paper, with a picture of one of them "fishes" that should not be.

this is an link to someone that produce and sells this.

this is an link to an norwgian page with the same picture i posted here and also an picture of an Xiphophorus helleri with thank god no possibility to breed, but who tells the beginner of an aquarium that one of the easiest fishes to breed cannot do so?
i have also seen something such meaningless as an albino killi fish here in Norway, where do they take it from? http://www.diskusjonsforum.no/akvariet/ ... eadid=2200
and now i actually can see the meaning of my signature

actually, that swordtail will breed with little problem I'm guessing. Montezuma swordtails are much more impressive, and a wild form. http://www.fishbase.org/images/Ximon_m0.jpg
they can breed in the wild... ;) I dont think the other will have trouble in a tank
