I got my first pim pictus a few months ago. I liked it so much I decided to get three more. The three new one were much smaller.
The big one (called Zoro: he signs Zs in the sand every time he turns around) used to rule the roost. Until today Zoro was the lead swimmer, now it looks like the greediest of the three small ones is in charge.
He first came to my attention a few days ago when I noticed him swimming at the surface, scooping up all the spare cichlid pellets. His belly looked like a sack of spuds. Since then he's headbutted just about every fish in the tank, including (perhaps rather unwisely) the baby gibbiceps. He's grown a lot too.
It looks like he's been accepted as the new king and the tank is peaceful again.
Just thought I'd share this observation with y'all.
Cheers,
JohnnyOscar (London, Medan, Durban) ;)
