Myersglanis blythii

Post by Shovelnose »

The distribution of Myersglanis blythii is listed as Nepal in the catfish checklist. The one pictured in the Cat E log was collected from around Darjeeling (India) if I remember correctly.

Myersglanis jayarami was described from Manipur,India. Any chance the picture of the Myersglanis in the Cat E Log is actually M.jayarami???

Major: Now what's this... stone, stone, stone, (looks down at his hand) and scissors. Now. Scissors cut everything, don't they?
Sergeant: Not stone, sir.
Major: They're very good scissors!!

I have briefly examined material from both West Bengal and Nepal, and I consider them to be the same species.
