You know the top of the page, where it has the logo "Planet Catfish" in blue and purple bubble letters? Well, when mousing over the link, it goes purple underneath like all the other links on the pages. This is just a minor bug, that I of course noticed, and could probably be fixed by setting the link's css div, topofpage, to have an a:hover attribute of with !important added on to cancel out the background color change. Just a purely cosmetic fix, but it would be nice.

Clearly my understanding of CSS is failing me here, because I can't make it work...

Have found a solution for this:

On the link immediately before the image:

Code: Select all

<a href="/">
Assign a css class:

Code: Select all

<a href="/" class=”banner-link”>
And in the css file, after the existing a:hover tag, add:

Code: Select all

a.banner-link:hover {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #000;
    color: yellow;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration: none;
}
That will fix the banner only, and leave all the other hover over to purple.
As guessing Jools will need to check this over, but am confident it will work.

Ok, I will see if I can put that into the the relevant style-sheet...

That should do it, but it's quite complex to find the right bits. Want me to do it? Also, a generic style (for when we don't want a purple highlight) would be better. E.G. Same thing, just call it no-highlight rather than banner-link? There are a few places it might be used.

OK, fixed. A minor change to the html and switched off the log images transparency. Easier fix and every extra character saved in CSS is a good thing.
