PC Home Page problem

Hi all.

When I went (twice) to the home page this morning I found the main features all crowded and squished up to the left. The right side of the screen (where new pics are usually in place) is very wide and has the following message at the top:

Hi,

Me again. Went back to Home page and it seemed fixed. Then went back again and it was as described above. Also, when it seemed ok I arrowed over a couple of the top new fishes (on right) and got a gray box with an x in the upper right hand corner.

I think I know what the problem is - at least the one in the first post... The grey rectangle, I don't know for sure... But it may be related...

As always, thanks for reporting - it's much easier to fix problems when you know about them, and I don't think anyone goes to ALL pages on the site...

Yes, I'm sure everyone will have this on the homepage at present. It is trying to "require" a file that doesn't exist where the code thinks it should be. There is a relatively easy fix, so I will try to fix it when I get home.

The reason you sometimes see this and sometimes not is that the content in the righthand column is randomly selected from donations, images, my cats, my aquaria and species updates. It's only one (my_aquaria) that's broken.

Probably related, but I cannot get anyone's 'My Aquaria' pics to load

The problem for the My Aquaria page is related but not the same exact fix.

I have submitted fixes for both, but Jools will have to check them and upload to the site, and it may take a couple of days before that happens).

Is this related too??? Got this a few times just now. Working fine now.

I think that was Jools attempt to fix that didn't work.

I will have another look when I get home.

Yes, that's a problem related to this problem too. Most of this is off the back of Mats and I finding a way to co-work on the site and fixing a lot of the structural issues inherent in that task.

OK, so I think we've got the problem fixed. However, I note in the time there has been a problem that several image uploads have not worked and so we see black images in some of the recent updates or images pages. Looking into that now.
