As I understand it, you're looking to get these synonyms added?

I have added the distribution fields from above. However, I'm not sure if the Tenasserim entry should be removed...

Silurus can advise you better on this but Tenasserim is a name for an historic area (Blyth often used the locality "Tenasserim Provinces", though for H. filamentosa I think it was just "Tenasserim") and isn't that helpful today for fishkeeping purposes. The Tanintharyi Region of modern Myanmar used to be called Tenasserim Division but the 'Tenasserim' of Blyth covered a larger area I think than the Tanintharyi Region. Ng & Kottelat designated a neotype anyway so the type locality is now actually Megathat Chaung, Myanmar anyway, not Tenasserim.

So the distribution listed by Ng & Kottelat and quoted by Shovelnose is probably more helpful (and certainly more accurate!).

Ok, thanks.

I suppose we should have BOTH type locations in the Cat-eLog (with suitable notes to indicate "Blyth original type" and "Ng & Kottelat neotype".

If a neotype has been designated, the type locality should follow that of the neotype. Perhaps a note that the species was originally described from “Tenasserim” (at that time referring to Myanmar south and east of the Sittang River delta) should be appended to the Remarks.
