I am in the process of setting up a Discus community tank and am wondering which catfish and plecs tolerate the higher temperatures. The substrate is white silica sand. The tank is 70gallons. Any help is much appreciated. I am not interested in it being biotope correct, just want good looking cats to play in the sand and a nice pleco too.
Thanks Mark.

umm... a long list...
http://scott.aaquaria.com/catfish.html and all 5 pages are fish I've kept with discus, excluding the M. tigrinus, the scarlet pleco, and the L015/L243? species...
only ones that wouldn't work in your tank are the sunshine and the royal, for size reasons, although the royal at least would take nearly a decade to outgrow the tank. Oh, and the non plecos are all too big for the 70
