Oops! At least the water is warm, and I suspect the risk of parasites is relatively low in the flowing sections of the river. Best to take a dose of worming medication when you get home after a dip like that tho'. ;)

I'd worry about Naegleria fowleri more than any parasite...

whoa.

according to Wiki, most people affected with that, die in the US.
or perhaps African deaths by it aren't recorded......

I was thinking about something very big and lethal instead:

wow those photos are amazing. Also that parasite....wow amazing, thrives in water at 37C......mmmmmmmm like our fish.... :-
