Font on Planet Catfish changed?

Was the font on Planet Catfish changed? As of today, the font in the body of each section on the homepage is different than it had been before. Also, the same change occured in the posts in the forum. I haven't looked around the website anymore, yet, but I notice the change in those places. Just curious if it was changed or if maybe the settings on my computer got messed up, somehow. I preferred the font before the change.

It quite possibly has, but more because I had it wrong previously and I did refresh it today. Then, I have no idea what you are actually seeing. It should be a font similar to arial on windows.

Actually, I think it might just be the font size or weight. It does look a bit different - I will check and see what changed.

Jools, actually, your signature line appears to be the normal PC font size and weight. The font in the body of your posts is larger and darker... and may or may not be a different font type (my knowledge of fonts pales in comparison to some of my graphic designer friends).

I notice it on two different computers so I'm going to rule out something on my end.

I just feel like I am reading one big headline--tough on the eyes and brain and everything in between.

You both know that you can hold down the CTRL key and your keyboard and spin your mousewheel to adjust the text size anyway?

The font never looked like this before.

I tried the [CTRL] + mousewheel adjustment and it did not alleviate the bold stylizing.

I hate to say it but if it stays this way, I will probably not be reading much on this forum going forward.

Some details would be handy to try and and help Jools diagnose the problem.

My fonts have changed too, but they are not bold or hard to read.

I'm using Firefox 12.0 on Ubuntu 12.04. Pages are set to choose their own fonts, but the defaults are "serif" and "sans-serif".

I am using Firefox. I saw a font change last morning on the front page, lasted into the afternoon then changed back into the usual. The same thing is happening this morning.

But no changes I see are objectionable. Maybe except this new thread: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... 81#p248281

EDIT: just as I was typing this message, the font on the front page went back to usual.

What type of details? I'm using IE 8.0.6001.18702 on an XP SP3 machine.

I also notice that in the body of posts of the forum, if someone uses the quote function, the font in the quotes still looks normal. However, the font in the body of the posts is bold and not easy on the eye.

Same over here, I also use I.E.

I did not see any bold in my viewings of the threads, except that funky one I linked above, albeit it may be just huge, not bold.

I think before this all gets very complicated I should explain a bit about what's going on here. To aid that here are two screen shots taken from MS IE running on windows.

These show what the site should look like with the exception of the forum text. While this looks bold, it is acutally just a larger font size. This is incorrect but can be easily altered by the aforementioned change of zoom setting by pressing CTRL -/+, CTRL mouse wheel or indeed using the drop down menus shown.

Meantime, I will look at why this had changed.

This is now fixed. Be aware some browsers will need to refresh their cached copies of pages to show the change.
