February 25th 2013 - Customise your daily Planet!
All,
As has been suggested in a few places (firstly, I think by "@Mike Noren") we've now introduced the ability to customise what you see on the main page. In the right hand panel there are a number of randomly selected update feeds such as latest image updates or the "BreederBoard". You can now select which one, ones, or have all or none displayed.
You do this by clicking on the "User Control Panel" (UCP) link above and then click on the profile tab. Scroll down a bit and you will see the options to do this. Happy customising!
Also, just above them, you will see options for temperature and measurement systems. These now work in several places in the site. So, say goodbye to inches, hello Fahrenheit or whatever else you wish to do!
This was a real joint effort between @MatsP and me - hope you like it!
Cheers,
Jools

This should be a bug, possibly, but it feels like it belongs associated with this, so I'm going to put it in here.
Do a quick find for pitbull pleco.
Click the result.
It tries to go to this page:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=236
And gets this error:
Function display_species_thumbnails: opt_in_only parameter not set correctly
So I went and changed my customization to show all and the same error happened.
On my iPad
Cheers
Edit, actually it seems to happen on any catelog link.

Personalized view on PC II
Jools-- you asked me a few months back to remind you to look at the option of offering PC users a tool to select how they 'view' and use PlanetCatfish (an excellent site, BTW)
I really like looking at the pics of other users, showing their tanks and setups. I would keep that up all the time if I could
thanks for all the time you and your team put into PC

Re: Personalized view on PC II
As you'll see from this thread (which I merged your post into) - it's alive! Let me know if it is what you were looking for?jp11biod wrote:Jools-- you asked me a few months back to remind you to look at the option of offering PC users a tool to select how they 'view' and use PlanetCatfish (an excellent site, BTW)
