I have kept a few groups of concolor over the years. I have a group of five now in a 40 ltr tank and have not found them to be shy. They feed aggressively and are very active.

I have a group of 6 in a 10 gallon(40 l) tank that is full of java moss. While they hide in the java moss once in a while they spend the large majority of their time (more than 80%) right in the front of the tank, looking right at me when I'm in the fishroom. As corybreed stated they are aggressive feeders, and I think they are waiting for their next meal, but shy they are not. ;)

I agree with the above.

Of the Cories I keep I find the concolor to be the opposite of shy, even boisterous.
