3.1 My cats update doesn't work

Was trying to add to 'my cats' on the site and repeatedly receive the following

Illegal use of $_FILES. You must use the request class or request_var() to access input data. Found in /home/webcat/planetcatfish.com/common/includes/my_fish_validate.php on line 32. This error message was generated by deactivated_super_global.

I've tried various times, logging out/in, ensuring I could post in the forum...and still got the same.

I was able to add and edit a new species.
